Alistair Overeem vs. Mark Hunt at DREAM 5

Alistair “Demolition Man” Overeem (27-11-0) has been confirmed as the opponent for Mark Hunt (5-3-0) at Dream 5 from Osaka, Japan this Monday. Overeem confirmed the heavyweight bout with The Fight Network on Friday.

Very nice matchup considering the conditions on short notice which is nothing new for the Japanese promotions. Mark Hunt’s last MMA fight was a submission loss to Fedor Emelianenko back in 2006. Overeem the Strikeforce HW champ is a quality opponent, and always seems to be right on the cusp of cracking the top 10 at HW or LHW. Having won two fights in a row…he has a stiff test in the iron chinned Mark Hunt.
